  What are the services being offered by CAMS?

CAMS has come out with a host of services which are of immense importance to a distributor NAV Broadcast You will be sent the NAV's available on every day following the business day. Daily Transaction Broadcast CAMS will send you a report of the transactions of your investors for the previous business day. Weekly Performance Broadcast This report reflects the asset standing to your credit every weekend. Your income depends on this asset standing and thus helps you ascertain your brokerage. In addition to this information about sub broker's performance and top transactions are also reported. Top Investors Information on the top investor and transactions of the week will be sent every week by e-mail

  Distributor Specific FAQS

Q. What is the difference between flat and trail brokerage?
A. A flat brokerage is payable upfront. It is equal to the amount brought in by a broker multiplied with the applicable brokerage rate. It is payable onetime. The trail brokerage is calculated and payable quarterly. It is equal to the average assets standing to the credit of the broker at the end of the quarter multiplied by the applicable brokerage. The broker continues to get brokerage as long as the investor stays invested with us.

Q. How is trail brokerage calculated?
A. Trail brokerage is calculated every quarter. It depends on the average asset standing to the credit of a broker at the end of the quarter. Trail brokerage = Average assets at the end of quarter x trail fee x no of days / 365

Q. How to become an empanelled broker?
A. You can fill in the agency application form to become an empanelled broker. The same can be obtained from any of the KMAMC offices or downloaded from our website. You can submit this application form at any of our offices. You will be allotted a code depending on the discretion of our sales person after meeting you in person.

Procedure for registration with Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund as per SEBI circular dated January 15, 2003 :-

1) For Individuals : An individual must submit the duly filled agency form along with his photo identity card issued by AMFI at the respective Kotak branch office.

2) For Others : The agency form with certificate of registration bearing ARN should be submitted.

The SEBI circular has exempted senior citizens i.e. individuals who have completed 60 years of age as on December 31, 2002 from obtaining ARN no. Such applicant shall enclose proof of age and a recommendation fom any member AMC (s), certifying that he/she has worked for 2 years as an intermediary and has canvassed a minimum business of Rs. 2,00,000 over a pariod of the last 2 years. If the applicant cannot comply with any of the requiremenst then he/she needs to obtain ARN from AMFI.

DEFINITIONS

ARN :
means AMFI Registration Number allotted by AMFI
ARMFA: means an intermediary who is registered with AMFI and stands for AMFI Registered Mutual Fund Advisors.
