Kotak Global Emerging Markets Scheme is an open ended equity scheme with an investment objective of providing long term capital appreciation by investing in an overseas mutual fund scheme that invests in a diversified portfolio of securities as prescribed by SEBI from time to time in global emerging markets. The scheme is currently invested in T.Rowe Price SICAV Funds Global Emerging Markets which invests in companies operating in various emerging markets globally. The scheme is suitable for long term investors with a higher risk appetite and who wish to supplement existing holdings with exposure to investment opportunities in globally emerging economies.

The long term outlook continues to remain positive for Indian equities as the economic growth momentum remains healthy with real GDP growth remaining at around 7%. We expect earnings and the earnings growth to translate on positive outlook remaining intact, the near term challenges can influence markets as it gets impacted by events / news flows that can have a near term negative implications.
The data from the US and Europe was not encouraging, however the US central bank commented that it remained on standby and was ready to act in case conditions worsened, rallying markets. We remain in a stop-and-go economy and it is unlikely that world over and in India any strong policy decisions will be taken as it is election time in 42 countries worldwide. We do not see any strong direction in markets in the near term.

* Currently the investments of the scheme are in Units of Global Emerging Markets Equity Fund of T. Rowe Price SICAV. This scheme has been assigned a �Higher Risk� designation by T. Rowe Price (in its prospectus), based on its exposure to a diversified global portfolio of emerging markets equities, which may reduce liquidity, increase currency, political and investment risk and amplify the unpredictability of return. This grading is indicative of the level of risk believed to be associated with the Fund and is not intended to be a guarantee of any actual level of risk or an indication of likely returns.

Trustees, at their discretion and in the interest of unitholders, may decide to shift all investments made in TGEMF to any other overseas emerging markets equity mutual fund scheme, consistent with the investment objective of the scheme.

**Pending deployment of funds the scheme may invest in fixed deposits of scheduled commercial banks as per the guidelines given in SEBI Circular no. SEBI/IMD/CIR No. 1/91171/07 dated April 16, 2007. Till the investments are made in accordance with the investment objective, the scheme may invest in Liquid / Floater schemes of Kotak Mutual Fund, not exceeding the limits specified in Clause 4 of Schedule VII of the Regulations.

The remittance of investment to the underlying scheme will be in foreign currency.
